Our team here at Appliance Educator are suckers for a really great recipe, so we came up with a list of our favorite recipes for Independence Day! Read on in our newest blog for our favorite Fourth of July recipes.

Fresh Peach Cobbler

Peach Cobbler is a classic and something that everyone is bound to love. To make this recipe, you will need to preheat your oven to 425 degrees. Then, in a large bowl combine the peaches, white sugar, brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, lemon juice, and cornstarch. Toss so that the peaches are coated with everything evenly, and put in the oven for 10 minutes. While that is cooking, mix the flour, 1/4 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup brown sugar, baking powder, and salt, and blend until it resembles a coarse meal. Stir in water until just combined. Remove peaches from the oven, and coat them evenly with the mixture.

Here is what you need in order to create this delicious treat:

  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice

  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Cherry Bombs

This recipe is one of the simplest on our lists, and also one of the most fun. The best part is they can be made kid and adult-friendly. If you are looking to make them kid-friendly, skip the part where you coat the cherries with fireball and vodka. Either way, these are bound to be a fan favorite. The first thing you will want to do is soak the cherries in the vodka and fireball for an hour. Next, fully melt all the chocolate in the microwave. After that, dip into the white and blue sprinkles, and let them chill for 20 minutes.

Here is what you will need for this fun-loving recipe:

  • 1 (10-oz.) jar maraschino cherries with stems, drained

  • 1/3 c. Fireball whisky

  • 1/3 c. whipped cream-flavored vodka

  • 1 c. white chocolate chips

  • 1 (3.5-oz.) jar blue sanding sugar sprinkles

 Smoky Grilled Dry-Rub Pork Chops

At the center of every Fourth of July party is an entree that is to die for, and we think this recipe will hit the spot just right. The first thing you will want to do is pat the pork dry. Next, season with salt and pepper and combine brown sugar, paprika, cumin, garlic powder, and cayenne pepper in a bowl. Cover and let it chill for three hours. Set up the grill for medium heat, and once hot, clean and oil the grates. Finally, grill and flip occasionally until it reaches 145°F for 8-10 minutes. Enjoy!

Here is everything you will need to make these pork chops:

  • 6 (6-ounce) bone-in pork chops

  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper

  • 1/4 c. light brown sugar

  • 2 tbsp. smoked paprika

  • 1 tsp. ground cumin

  • 1/2 tsp. garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp. cayenne pepper

  • Canola oil, for grill grates
