Burners are one of the most important parts of your stove or cooktop. For appliance manufacturers, aluminum and brass burners are becoming more common. But what’s the main difference between the two? The team here at Appliance Educator is here to explain the differences and help you make the decision that’s best for your home!

Brass burners create a stunning and unique pop of color that’s brand new to the range and cooktop market. While they are more expensive than aluminum burners, brass retains heat more efficiently and offers more features Brass burners typically have superior heat retention, as they spread heat more evenly. They are also more resistant to stains or grime than aluminum burners. Additionally, these burners work very well with outdoor weather conditions, as they tend to be a bit more durable. One disadvantage is they do not heat up as fast as aluminum burners would, and brass has a higher melting point, so deformity over time is a low possibility.

Aluminum burners are still very effective, and are used in most households. They tend to heat faster, but do not stay hot as long as the brass burners. This also means that the stove would cool down faster, which might be more efficient for families who need to watch out for their children and can not have their stoves hot for too long of a time. They also tend to have a shorter life span than brass burners, but are usually a bit less costly. The aluminum burners are not quite as durable, but also provide a cheaper and safer option, for families who may need these benefits.
