Our 2021 Kitchen Trends

With the new year comes new kitchen trends, and we at Appliance Educator want to show you our favorites. From kitchen styles to appliance types, we think that these trends will make you fall in love with the idea of revamping your kitchen for the new year.

Kitchen Coloring

When people start to renovate, the first place they go is a color scheme. In 2021, black, grey, and dark brown are going to come back into style and make a massive impact. No need to fear if dark kitchens aren’t your thing, we predict that using a good amount of natural light will be a huge trend this year, which will bring the perfect balance. We also think that brass pops of color are a trend that people are going to be very interested in, leaving a nice personalized touch to all kitchen types.

Appliances in Drawers

With kitchens becoming even sleeker, the idea of hiding appliances in a drawer set is becoming more popular. These types of appliances blend in very nicely with your kitchen and help to solve cluttered counters. Open Floor Plans

More often than not, homeowners are leaning more towards an open floor plan for their homes. Typically, this means that the living room and the kitchen combine into one spacious area. We think that this is something that will be utilized often in 2021 so that homeowners can spend more time together and create more memories in one large space, rather than two smaller ones.

Pendant Lights

With a darker decor combined with an open floor plan, homeowners are purchasing more decorative lighting options for their kitchen islands. These lighting options bring that extra detail that can bring the entire area together. The best part? They come in a wide variety of options to match any kitchen style. Whether big, small, colored, or black and white, you can find the perfect light fixture for your kitchen. Decorative and Unique Range Hoods

While a classic stainless range hood is beautiful and gets the job done, we predict that more elaborate and beautiful range hoods will come into style in 2021. There are many options out there, and grow more and more unique the more research you do! One of our favorite companies for designer range hoods is ZLINE. They have cooper, black stainless steel, and wood finishes, among many more. They have beautiful detailing, that would be worth checking out coming into the new year.
