Summer is the perfect time for kitchen renovations, and we know how stressful and challenging they can be. Replacing kitchen appliances is no easy task. In our newest blog, we put together all of our favorite tips and tricks for kitchen renovations, and what you need to know when replacing your kitchen appliances.

Make Sure Your New Appliances Meet All Your Needs

Since you are doing a complete renovation, it would be beneficial for you to take a step back and examine how you really use your kitchen. For example, if all your kids graduated and have moved out, it may not be necessary to have a 48” oven anymore. Or vice versa, if you find yourself hosting more dinner parties now that restrictions are lifting, you may be in the market for a bigger oven. These things are all important to consider, and since you are already remodeling it is ideal to have your dream kitchen.

Purchase as Many Appliances As Possible From The Same Place

This is for your convenience more than anything. Going to a retailer where you can purchase all of your appliances and accessories in one place saves you a lot of time. Our personal favorite retailer is The Range Hood Store. Not only do they have US-based customer service, next-day shipping, and financing options, but they are an exclusive retailer to one of our favorite appliance manufacturers, ZLINE Kitchen and Bath. They sell ZLINE ranges, range hoods, sinks, faucets, dishwashers, and more. They even have pot fillers and bathroom accessories such as towel holders. The Range Hood Store truly is a one-stop-shop for all things kitchen and bath appliances, they are the perfect choice for your kitchen renovation!

Show Off Your New Appliances

Don’t be afraid to let stunning appliances be the centerpiece of your kitchen. If you are going big, you should work on the design element with your new appliances. Our personal favorite design trends right now are incorporating range hood inserts into your kitchen so you can customize a shell to your dream design. We have also found that homeowners have started incorporating induction cooktops on top of wall ovens. While it may seem unconventional, it is starting to become trendy and looks fantastic.

Save Money and Energy

Our team at Appliance Educator loves to save energy, so we always recommend looking for Energy Star certified dishwashers and refrigerators. Estimated energy use and cost per year will decrease, and oftentimes the dishwashers are much quieter as well.

Don’t Forget About Your Old Appliances

The excitement of new appliances can often make us forget that the old ones are there too and they need to be disposed of one way or another. Whether you recycle them, donate them, or resell them on Facebook Marketplace or Craigslist, you don’t want to forget about this, and be left stranded with your old appliances when the new ones come.

Let a professional do the installation

While most of the time it is possible to install your new appliances yourself, leaving it to a professional can make the most sense. Not only do you want to be careful to not void your warranty by installing it incorrectly, but you also want to make sure the wiring and technical side of your appliance installation is taken care of.
