Renovating a home is one of the most exciting times for a homeowner. There are endless possibilities for you to design the home of your dreams, but it can also be stressful if you don’t know where to start. Most homeowners tend to think that home renovation needs to happen all at once. That may be true depending on your budget and timeframe, but our Appliance Educator team is here to give you some ideas on smaller renovations you can do to update your home!

When deciding what room to start your complete renovations with, you may want to start by thinking about what rooms you spend the most and least time in on a daily basis. On average, kitchens, bathrooms, and living rooms are some of the most commonly used rooms in a household, whereas offices and lofts are used the least. Once you have an idea of what rooms you spent the most time in, you’ll be able to decide where you’d like to spend the most time (and money) refinishing.

Now that you know what room you want to start, what’s next? Rather than completely tearing out the room and creating a blank canvas, start by thinking about areas of your room where you’d like to see some improvement. If your kitchen cabinets are extremely out-dated, that can easily be fixed with a fresh coat of paint and new sleek hardware! If the carpet in your living room is stained, you could lay some new vinyl planks or hardwood flooring for a clean and fresh look.

If the outside of your home needs a little upgrade, painting the front of your door or even planting new flowers can completely change your curb appeal! Renovating your home doesn’t have to be a huge project that takes weeks or months. You can update your home without breaking the bank or your back!
